Dentistry from A to Z 
Born and raised in Moline, Illinois, Dr. Douglas Allison holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Iowa in mechanical engineering. After five years' experience in computer design and engineering, he returned to the University of Iowa and received his degree in dental surgery. Dr. Allison moved his family to the lakeshore area in 1988, residing in Manitowoc. Dr. Allison and his wife, Kimbra, have three children, one granddaughter and another grandchild due soon, and several pets. Their daughter, Jessica, is a dentist in Manitowoc, April is an officer in the Navy, and Adam is a college student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In his spare time, he can be found with his family, traveling or driving sports cars. ‡

Dr. Scott Zak has practiced in Manitowoc with Shoreline Dental Associates since 1996. A resident of northeast Wisconsin his entire lifetime, Dr. Zak earned his bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and received his degree in dental surgery from the University of Minnesota, graduating with high honors. After a one-year general practice residency at the VA-Medical Center in Palo Alto, California, Dr. Zak returned to the area. He and his wife, Jill, have a daughter, Evangeline, a son, Roman, and a dog, Lilly. His interests include reading, snowmobiling, Packer football, golf, traveling, and visiting friends and family.
